BEC JUNIPER
29 August 2015 - 23 September 2015

Using interesting textures, materials and high energy, Bec Juniper works against the geometry of structure. The results are abstract images that are, at once, primal, dream-like and topographical. "From my time spent in the bush looking down, I have noted the complexity of colours, the flow of the land, the pattern-making and the random re-arranging that goes on" (Bec Juniper, 2015). Her painting wrestles with the conundrum between object and form: the area in between creating a picture of landscape and attempting to imitate its essential material nature.
