PREVIEWING AT SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY STAND A05 | 7-10 SEPTEMBER Christopher Orchard’s paintings and drawings contain the hall-marks of fine draughtsmanship in their composition, sure line and imaginative scope. The breadth and possibilities of meanings his work opens up, through narrative and technique, offer the viewer a multifaceted journey rather than any predictable outcome.  Orchard has been exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions for over 30 years in Australia and the USA and has been short listed for numerous awards, including the Dobell Prize for Drawing (AGNSW). To celebrate the artist’s accomplishments and esteemed career, Wagner Contemporary is pleased to host the launch of the monograph, The uncertainty of the poet (Wakefield Press), in conjunction with his exhibition, Small Levitation. “His compositions entice the viewer to look closely, to follow the artist’s keen eye turned on contemporary aspects of the human condition, to explore and discover the effect and cause of this extraordinary artist’s world view”.
